When in Rome...

Yes, we're in France. This is not a piece of fiction, nor a movie set. And I'll prove it with the best academic references applicable. Ones that everyone recognises as French: recipe books. Or rather their happy results.

First of all, to whet your appetites, we'd like to let everyone know that while snails aren't unheard of on restaurant menus, the old frog's legs are suspiciously absentl. It must be a myth right?
Wrong. They're not sold in menus...but if you look carefully in the frozen foods aisle, you can find them nicely packaged in kilogram bags, next to the frozen lobsters.

So, using the haute cuisine cooking instructions on the back, we made our first (and second) very successful, very garlicy cuisses de grenouille. Check 'em out! We even francified the vegetables.

To finish off, we'll let you in on a little secret: we didn't make this next one. But we did eat it. Amazing pear tarte, not even made in a boulangerie or patisserie, just at a nice resto:

So, if any of you can find frogs legs we'll make them for you, but I think customs might have something to say about a suspicious (yet delicious) - smelling bag on the carousel.
